Buckeyes finish 2017 fall season strong at WolverBuck Dual

This past Saturday, November 18th the Buckeyes raced Michigan in the WolverBuck Duel dating back to 1992. With 25 years from the the inception of the race, the team has continued to compete and battle the Team Up North.

This year the race was held fain Ann Arbor, MI with OSU Crew posting its strongest finish since 2012. The Novice 8+ started the day strong with a third place finish less than a couple boat lengths from Michigan. The Collegiate 4+ posted a 2nd place finish out of 8 crews and had the fastest time on the final interval of all 8 crews. The final race of the day was the Varsity 8+’s with OSU entering two crews for the first time in a few years. While finishing 3rd and 4th out of 4 crews, we saw the top boat close the gap.

These results show strong process and cap off an outstanding fall for OSU Crew. Both the men and women raced well posting best finishes for the program in recent memory. Our hat is off to Mark Williams for the improvement, hard work and dedication to the program.
