Ohio State Crew spent 7 days in Lake Lure, North Carolina in preparation for the upcoming spring racing season. Training three times per day, the team was able to get 3 weeks worth of practice time into a single week! These initial strokes on the water this spring will prove to be essential to racing fast in the coming months.
During the camp, both the men and women’s squads got the opportunity to scrimmage other teams. The men took on the Columbia Lightweight Men’s team and the women scrimmaged Bryn Mawr college. Although Columbia won all pieces, the Buckeyes were able to lessen the gap from prior years. The OSU women were able to take a clean sweep of their pieces against a tough Bryn Mawr college Varsity 8+. These pre-season results show promise for racing success to come this spring!
