What To Bring

Everything you need to bring to your first practice and open boathouse

  First Practice

Your first day of practice is exciting, but probably a little nerve wracking if it’s your first time on the team. So, to ease those nerves, here is a comprehensive list of everything you’ll need and why in order to survive your first practice on the water or in our training facilities!

Land Training - Practice Inside (not on the water)

  • Running Sneakers

  • Water Bottle

  • Workout clothes

  • (Optional) A bag to hold everything in

  • (Optional) Change of clothes

Water Practice

  • Water Bottle (if you are bringing a metal water bottle like a Hydroflask, please put it in a tall sock to protect the boat)

  • Workout clothes (everyone is different, but we recommend wearing tight fitting spandex and shorter tops - or tuck in long ones - as bigger clothes get stuck in the tracks)

  • Waterproof shoes (many team members wear crocs, chacos, or flipflops)

  • (Optional) A bag to hold everything in

  • (Optional) Change of clothes

 Open Boathouse

The Open Boathouse is a great time to introduce yourself to members of our team and see what the team is all about. This year we will be hosting the events at the Union. These are just information sessions so you do not need to bring anything.
